Get a "Death Grip" on that gun! It all started when Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Compared to competing models, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand plus a high level of weight, thus more of the control-enhancing features you want! Weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight a lightweight gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun.
Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
- Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
- Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
- Built-in mount point for factory and TF magwells (typical "tailhook" style)
- Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)

Incredible backstrap
This thing is absolutely perfect. The added weight helps to lower the center of gravity. The beaver tail got rid of the awkward space between by my thumb allowing for a firm grip all the way around the pistol. The result? Virtually zero movement after the shot. My follow ups have greatly improved and I can track the dot through recoil and reset very fast. These things are a must if you're looking for extra weight and a nice grip texture. The pattern is cut into the brass and these things are built like a tank. HK unfortunately doesn't make a steel frame vp9 but add these and the side panels and you're changing an awesome gun into an even better one. Also, TF customer service is second to none so you've really got nothing to lose. Highly recommend this product!!
