Product Description
Get a "Death Grip" on that gun!
It all started when Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Compared to competing models, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand plus a high level of weight, thus more of the control-enhancing features you want!
Weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight a lightweight gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
- Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
- Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
- Built-in mount point for factory and TF magwells (typical "tailhook" style)
- Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)
Weight: 3 ounces
Material: Brass
Color: Black

VP9 Grip Backstrap
I purchased the grip because I wanted better purchase on my pistol for IDPS and Steel Challenge shooting. This part is machined to match the gun perfectly. It is some of the highest quality work and finish I have seen. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve the grip and balance of their VP 9.

You need this!
After an optic, this, with the brass side panels, are the best things you can add to the VP9. Great weight and FANTASTIC texture.

Medium VP9a1 backstrap - black
Looks great and adds nice weight and balance to the pistol. I'd like it to be even more aggressive on the texturing but its still very good - way, way better than the stock backstraps that come with the pistols. Support is great too - really helpful if you need them and provided a video to help me overcome an issue I caused myself when putting it on with my medium side panels.

VP 9 Death Grip back strap
Replaced the stock version with this. Gave me the weight and texture I was looking for. The mag well is next along with the brass panels. Should really bring it alive. Highly recommend the products.

Genuinely Incredible
I wasn’t expecting anything too special, but now that it has arrived. I can tell A LOT of care and precision went into manufacturing this backstrap. I will absolutely be ordering the grip panels next. My order was fulfilled and shipped like ⚡️

Outstanding backstrap
The quality of this backstrap is superb. The texture is more aggressive, giving a solid grip. The brass adds a nice amount of weight, better balancing the VP9. This is one of the few modifications I’ve made, and it’s been well worth it.

The grip that grabs YOU!
I was looking for a grip that felt more like the Walther PDP. I put these grip panels and the Death Grip backstrap on my VP9 Match with the HKParts rail mounted comp. Man, it was exactly what I needed. You don't grip these panels and backstrap, they grip YOU! Talk about solid contact. They also give the right balance, offsetting the extra weight of the comp. You will not regret these upgrades.

A great fit and feel that is a perfect fit for me.

Great on the VP9A1F
I normally run the included small backstrap on the VP9 series, and this is more around the size of the medium. I picked one up to try it out as I'm not the biggest fan of the OEM crescent moon grip texture on the VP9 series. I prefer the texture on the P30 grips. This is more aggressive than even the stock P30 texture but not so much that it chews up your palms. I like the additional weight to help with recoil and the texture really locks in your hand. I picked up a second backstrap to put on my backup VP9A1F and can't wait for TF to release the backstrap for the P30.
