TF’s “MC9 Prime” magwell doesn’t look like other magwells.
Instead of just bolting a funnel on the bottom, we stopped to think about how this sort of pistol is actually used.
The “Prime” line is a compact, so the grip is relatively short. Our magwell extends the frame lightly and expands the magwell IN THE FRONT – allowing you to get your entire hand on the gun. At the same time, compacts are meant to be concealable, so we cut the magwell down IN THE BACK, which helps keep the gun from “printing” when concealed.
The result is what we think is the best of both worlds for the “Prime” -- a much smoother reload, more control in recoil – and a concealable profile.
Will it fit my MC9L? Yes. When we say “Prime” we’re actually referring to a family of guns: the MC9L, MC9LS, and the MC9 “Prime.” Because of a quirk in the frame design, all the “Prime” guns require “Prime-specific” basepads, so we offer +0 and +4 extensions specifically for the Primes (which also fit the original MC9).

FITTING ANOMALY!: In recent weeks we’ve discovered that not all MC9 Prime-family guns are the same. In MOST cases to date our backstraps line up with the factory magwell, however, on some guns the curvature of the factory magwell has changed. If you end up with a non-standard frame, please contact us. We’re working to create a “second model” to accommodate these non-standard guns right now.
