Solid brass "backstrap" grip panel for the Canik MC9L, MC9LS, and Canik MC9 Prime.
- High-traction checkered surface (better control)
- Built-in mount for Canik or TF Magwell

- Grip size = roughly Canik "Medium" (larger of the two standard sizes)
Adding weight via a brass backstrap calms the gun down, creating a smoother-shooting, softer-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Adding weight to the frame also reduces the tendency toward "weak wrist" malfunctions common to all polymer frame handguns.
This manifests itself most often when shooting weak-hand-only. Extra mass gives the frame a greater resistance to being pushed rearward in recoil -- helping ensure reliable cycling when the shooter can't supply full resistance due to weakness, poor form, or a too-low grip. The metal backstrap concept descends directly from our famous "Seattle Slug" magazine guide for the Glock. That concept worked so well, it was eventually banned BY NAME in both USPSA and IDPA.

Noticeable Difference
The brass backstrap was a noticeable difference at the range. It balanced the felt recoil well and I'm glad I made the purchase.

The weight and balance!!!!
Just have to say this is how the MC9LS should feel. I can hit faster follow ups immediately. I feel like the added weight just balanced it out. Not to say it doesn’t shoot great straight out of the box, but damn, what a noticeable change for follow ups.

Incredible feel and quality
I received my brass backstrap for my prime, and it instantly changed the way it felt it my hand. Absolutely love the weight it brings to the grip. A couple days later, I picked up a mete sf from a friend and ordered the full weight kit for that setup. Cannot wait for it to be delivered! Thanks TF!

Brass backstrap
I have not fired my weapon since the install but the backstrap gives it very good balance. The weight is enough to even the pistol out and feel good. I look forward to shooting.
