Get a "Death Grip" on that gun!
It all started when Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Compared to competing models, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand plus a high level of weight, thus more of the control-enhancing features you want!
Weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight a lightweight gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
- Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
- Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
- Built-in mount point for factory and TF magwells (typical "tailhook" style)
- Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)

Just fantastic
Been buying from TF for over ten years. Always impeccable quality, fit and finish. Death grip is exactly what you’d expect. Get the side panels, too. Robin and company are great people

Just what I needed to add a bit more weight. Quality and design are on point. Will go match well withe the brass side panels.

Brass Backstrap
I added the brass backstrap along with a set of the brass side panels to my VP9 today. Love the feel, the added grip texture, and definitelythe added weight. These parts are well made and the craftsmanship is wonderful. However, I did have to modify my TF magwell in order to clear the new backstrap. Not complaining, only stating my experience. Took about an hour with a dremel and some fine files to have the parts fitting properly. At some point I plan to cerakote the VP9 frame, so not to worry. Still give it 5 stars!!

Very nice
Super easy to install and adds some nice heft. I just wish I got the side panels in brass as well to complete the look. Maybe if there's a sale!

Wished I wouldn’t have waited so long to buy
I had my eye on this for sometime, finally bought this and the 2 side panels. WOW! The feels better and is much better balanced now too. Will be buying another set for my 2nd VP9
