    Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. 
     
    CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! 
     
    TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Once we'd covered everything with checkering, we backed up, removed the factory-pattern "scallops" on the sides and extended the available gripping surface even more!
     
    Compared to any competing model with scalloped sides, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand, more total weight, and thus more of the control-enhancing features you want!
     
    Weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight the gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
     
    • Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
    • Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
    • Built-in mount points for factory, TF magwells
    • Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)

      First, this backstrap will add more weight to the rear end of you pistol which will help the overall balance when you have a full magazine in place. The added weight helps the grip to settle down in your palm. Second, the texturing in the brass is aggressive for gripping purposes without being uncomfortable. With the proper grip the pistol stays securely in place . Third, the added material (which is missing from the stock backstrap)on each of the lower sides helps to fill your palm while adding more grip area. Lastly, the fit and finish was perfect on my TTI, was simple to install and took just a few minutes. As always, another excellent product from Taylor Freelance

      Outstanding addition to my SFX Rival. The grip texture is excellent and it fits perfectly. The balance of the gun is so much better now.

      It definitely feels so much better than the standard back strap and feels little more hefty in the hands. It also doesn't feel so top heavy when a full mag isn't inserted. It also makes it a little more fun to carry against the bare skin if you're concealing it in against your appendix. Finish Perfectly matches the rest of the firearm. Taylor Freelance did an amazing job in this its exactly what I was looking for.

      Bronze color fits well with my TTI. Fit perfectly! Can feel a positive difference in balance of the pistol. Great purchase!

      Great addition to my TTI Combat. Burnt brass color matches nicely. Extra weight actually feels like I’m holding a pistol instead of a toy. Fast delivery, easy install, great product! Every Canik should have one.

      This is a huge improvement over my stock Rival grip, both in terms of weight and grip. Can't wait to order the magwell as well.

      I’ve been waiting for this to come back in stock for months. I jumped on it as soon as I got the email. Absolutely worth the wait. Totally changes the recoil impulse and the return to target is phenomenal. Perfect amount of balance. I love the feel of the grip. It’s the perfect texture.       This was a perfect fit for my Canik TTI. Nice grip and the perfect wight added to the firearm. The TTI felt a little lightweight to me and this backstrap makes it feel better balanced.

      I was amazed by the perfect color combination and how well it pairs with the TTI. The install with the right tools and a punch will be smooth after watching the video. And it makes a tremendous difference in terms of weight. It balances out the firearm very well and the quality is great! I highly recommend this.
