    Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. 
     
    CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! 
     
    TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Once we'd covered everything with checkering, we backed up, removed the factory-pattern "scallops" on the sides and extended the available gripping surface even more!
     
    Compared to any competing model with scalloped sides, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand, more total weight, and thus more of the control-enhancing features you want!
     
    Weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight the gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
     
    • Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
    • Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
    • Built-in mount points for factory, TF magwells
    • Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)

      Honestly, I knew the backstrap would change the feel of my poly Rival but not like this... the gun feels balanced now. It had very little felt recoil to begin with. Now it is a tack driver. Follow up shots almost feel like cheating. If your debating picking one up, STOP IT! Just get it! Honestly, I would say if you only get one accessory for your poly Canik Rival, get this backstrap. It makes a good gun great! Thanks TF for a great product!

      Incredible upgrade! Worth every cent! Absorbs recoil so well... Perfectly balances distribution. Highly recommended Taylor Freelance for EVERYTHING they make! As a CNC operator for over 20 years now, this is craftsmanship!

      Simply AMAZING! I have put these brass back straps on every pistol I own that will accommodate them. Five different mechanics four different Walthers and HK vp9 and they are incredible! If you are on the fence about getting one, send it it is worth every penny! The weight of the brass really absorbs recoil and the death grip checkering is just that a death grip! Highly recommend Taylor freelance products!

      Fit and finish is excellent, made a real difference in feel of the Canik TTI Combat,. Would recommend it ? ? ?.

      Ordered for my Canik TTI Combat, and it fit like a glove. Went with the black because the burnt bronze was out of stock, but it really nice maybe even better. Balanced the pistols and feel better in hand. Really happy with my purchase.

      I am doing you a favor. Just buy it now. Put it on your Canik and reap the rewards. Stop thinking about how the other one looks prettier. Pretty doesn’t help you hit bullseyes. Craftsmanship, fit and finish are all top-tier. Delivery is also fast.

      Just an Outstanding addition to any Canik Mete, period. Does an Excellent job balancing out my Canik and providing Solid grip; allows me to focus on getting rounds to the target. All my Caniks will have a Taylor Freelance Brass Backstrap!

      Love the grip feel better than the stock grip on the TTI, the added weight makes the gun feel like a new gun! Taylor Freelance products are the first thing I buy after getting a new gun.
