We added a touch of length below the frame and replaced the “cutaway’ grip profile of the Canik backstrap with a curving, extended butt.
Shooting the MC becomes more comfortable, more natural feeling, and the extra contact area adds control. The built-in mag guide centers your magazine automatically and holds your palm clear of the magwell edges, reducing the tendency to pinch your hand during the reload.
Every available space in the backstrap is filled with solid metal (aluminum or brass). The weight of the backstrap dramatically changes the balance of the gun. The gun feels calmer and more “neutrally” balanced. That neutral feel (for us) makes the gun easier to draw, easier to handle, and easier to reload. During the draw the smooth butt lets your hand slide into place easily, getting you into a proper firing grip before you clear leather. Once you grip the gun, the checkering along the waist of the backstrap grips you back, locking the gun to your hand.
Grip size = roughly Canik "Small," but feels bigger.

NOTE: Does not work on the newest MC9 15-round mags with grip extension on back of magazine without some cutting on the mag. Designed for the original MC9 mags without the grip extension on back of magazine.

Canik mc9 backstrap
Brass mc9 backstrap is just as described. The checkering is a bit aggressive but not overly so. Fit perfectly. . Makes the grip fit nicely in my large hand.

Canik MC9 Backstrap Brass
Backstrap was easy to install and fit MC9 well. The feel and weight are terrific. I feel like the gun is a lot more solid and I can put a stronger grip on the frame. As an aside I felt like mag insertion and dropping free were improved as my model doesn't have great dimensions for the magazines. I am extremely happy with the product and fully endorse it, and I will be doing more business with Taylorfreelance.

MC9 Backstrap
This backstrap is awesome! I love the added weight it gives the gun. Balances it out perfectly. Gives the gun a much more hearty feel. Almost like it’s more than a micro compact. The grooves on the backstrap are definitely aggressive without tearing your hands apart. I love the texture & weight of the brass backstrap. Worth every penny!!

Amazing. Perfect grip for those with medium to large hands
The MC9 is a light gun. A bit snappy. This backstrap fixed all the challenges I had around the grip, one being that with larger hands, I had very little room for my support hand. With this longer backstrap, I can both get more contact with my support hand as well as the length of pull is adjusted to something more comfortable for me. Finally, the additional weight really balances out the gun well.

Good machine work and fit but poor finishing OPs.
Fit was perfect but edges along both side were inadequately de-burred.leaving very sharp edges. Tumble de-burring would have eliminated this issue but would have also removed the shiny finish. I would much prefer a burr free matte finish. Function trumps cosmetics any day.
