We added a touch of length below the frame and replaced the “cutaway’ grip profile of the Canik backstrap with a curving, extended butt.
Shooting the MC becomes more comfortable, more natural feeling, and the extra contact area adds control. The built-in mag guide centers your magazine automatically and holds your palm clear of the magwell edges, reducing the tendency to pinch your hand during the reload.
Every available space in the backstrap is filled with solid metal (aluminum or brass). The weight of the backstrap dramatically changes the balance of the gun. The gun feels calmer and more “neutrally” balanced. That neutral feel (for us) makes the gun easier to draw, easier to handle, and easier to reload. During the draw the smooth butt lets your hand slide into place easily, getting you into a proper firing grip before you clear leather. Once you grip the gun, the checkering along the waist of the backstrap grips you back, locking the gun to your hand.
Grip size = roughly Canik "Small," but feels bigger.

NOTE: Does not work on the newest MC9 15-round mags with grip extension on back of magazine without some cutting on the mag. Designed for the original MC9 mags without the grip extension on back of magazine.

Another great product from TF!
I am so happy I added this to my mc9! It is one of my edcs.At first I was afraid to add the extra weight.but I figured if was too heavy to carry, at least I could use it at the range. To my surprise as soon as the package was delivered, I put it on immediately along with the brass basepads I ordered also. Put the mc9 back in the holster where it belonged and carried it the rest of the day. I will admit, it was more noticeably heavier BUT by day three, it all felt normal. Then, I took it to the range! I never shot my weapon so well before. Let's start with the grip. With the combo of this back strap and the brass basepads, the grip is amazing! The size and texture of both give you a grip 100 times better than the backstraps provided. Also, the basepads have an indentation for your pinky. This help really helps the ability to loosen the grip of the "strong hand" for more control while shooting ond with both pieces of brass added to frame, recoil is substantially reduced. Highly recommend both these additions, you won't be disappointed. I also had them custom painted. I have the bronze slide mc9 and the color match was perfect!, really makse the piece look great. TF genuinely takes these products to a new level. I have actually had two Glockheads fire my mc9 and the couldn't believe not only how great it looked but how it felt in the hand and how well it shot for less than what they paid for their Glocks! Perfect
The additional weight from the brass back strap has turned a good firearm into a great firearm. Helps to reduce recoil and makes shoot-ability more comfortable and my accuracy has improved. Greatly improved both firearms I have added this accessory too.

Perfect weight
The brass back strap for the MC9 is just perfect weight to make the gun sit right in the hands. The black cerakote looked great and blends with the polymer well. I would recommend this for anyone who has an MC9. Great for bringing down recoil and getting a better feel/grip on the gun.

Canik MC9 Backstrap
Awesome and perfect!!! Love what you do. This product is amazing on this firearm, really good stabilizer. Feels great in the hand and helps grip feel very comfortable. Will definitely recommend for everyone. Keep up the great work!

Great upgrade with one caveat
No surprise, the TF backstrap is superior in every way as compared to the stock MC9 backstraps. FYI, the TF backstrap will not work with the MC9 15 round mag with the extended (full grip) baseplate. On the plus side I found out the Canik +2 plastic baseplate does work with the TF backstrap when placed on a 12 round mag. As a bonus, this combination actually allows 15 rounds to be loaded instead of 14!
