Magwell for Walther Q5
This product is well made like all Taylor Freelance items. It does NOT , however, fit as the video shows. I have been in the business for over 13 years. I am a Glock Armorer x6, a S& M&P Amorer x3, and an AR armorer. I have done custom work on most all of my Glocks and S&W M&Ps and have built several custom ARs. So therefore I do know what I am doing. My Q5 is to be a "Carry Optics" pistol for next season. The day before the magwell arrived, I pushed the rear pin out and took the backstrap out and trimmed out the small rubber piece. Upon arrival of my shipment, I opened the box, took out the magwell, and placed it on the grip. My disappointment came when I found that about 1/3 of the tab was showing in the pin hole. I took off the magwell and reinstalled it several times to assure that I had it on correctly. After seeing that it was flush weith the bottom. I then took out my jewlers small rat tail file and began to fit the magwell. I did manage to get it installed, however, I am concerned that I had to remove so much of that tab to make that part suspect in competition. Since my Q5 is a Walther pistol built on the PPQ style frame and part of a mass produced set of items and since Walther could not custom fit each pistol in assembly, I can not believe that the rear pin hole would have that much difference. -- RESPONSE -- Ricky, it sounds very much like you got a "Special Mount" model by accident, which is intended to be hand-fitted (not drop-in). That's our fault. The normal Overdrive is a drop-in fit on the standard PPQ. -- RT

This is a game changer for me, combined with the PPQ Competition Brass mag plate transformed my Q5 Match into a much more stable shooter, and looks great also. Easy install and great fit, highly recommended!
