“Hard Duty” basepads add serious functionality to the standard SIG 226 basepad for Metgar magazines. TF collaborated with Gray Guns, Inc's Mike Grasso on the design, and now manufactures these parts exclusively for Gray Guns, Inc.
Features include:
- Dot-grid numbering (Using a paint pen, you can easily number your basepads. If one fails, you can identify which one needs to be replaced/serviced)
- ID Plate (put your initials or badge number here, so you can tell your mags from everyone else’s)
- Hard-anodized 6061 aluminum construction (doesn’t get much tougher than that!)
- Side cuts assist with ripping the magazine clear in case of a double-feed malfunction
This model is essentially the same thickness as the factory basepad. A thicker version (for competitors and magwell users) is also available.
WARNING: This model will not fit Mec-Gar magazines with a rectangular base plate peg. (We're going to make one that will!)

Very Well Made
The best feature is the enlarged side wings to help if the mag gets stuck but unless you're rolling on the ground or deep into competitive shooting there isn't much need for it. These look and feel great though! Do pay attention to the detent shape as newer made Mec-Gar mags use a rectangular panel which is not compatible with these.
