NOTE: Because of a combination of factors, we build our basepads slightly "short" for best reliability. As a result, they will run properly with ammunition loaded to 1.125" overall or less. That's a typical length for 115- and 124-grain loads, but some (notably, Winchester 115 RN) will go out all the way to 1.160".

HINT: If your extension will take 35 rounds and then becomes unreliable (or sticks), check the length of your ammunition! Question? Give us a call and we can explain.

Goliath +20 (Black) finally reliable after 3 month of trial and error

It was a long road but after 4 months, 5 magazines and a long search for reloading data, I finally got the Goliath to run. First off, I never got it to run with a OEM glock mag. I tried Gen 3,4 and 5 and they all feed really slow or the first 5-6 rounds would nosedive into the bottom of the barrel. Second, finding published load data for 115 or 124gn rn that had and OAL of 1.120-1.125 was difficult. I finally had to develop my own load with the help of the guys at Everglades Bullets. I have to measure each one and separate the ones out that are 1.120 or less and use them in the first 20 in the mag. Then load the 1.120 and greater on the top. I finally ordered 3 ETS mags and out of them, 2 fit. I had to bevel the back of the follower a little to get it past the transition when loading, but they feed reliably on the way up. Robin Taylor was a lot of help and answered my emails and calls quickly. Most of the time to figure this all out was my availability to get to the range. The mag extension is very durable and much stronger than the MBX, which I've had come apart during a match. I only thing I would like to see is an extension that supports a standard length of 1.142.
