Better traction, more weight, and two magwell mounting points make this aluminum backstrap a great "middleweight" option. While this option only adds about one ounce, weight and felt recoil are directly related. By adding weight the gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, softer-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun.

Great Upgrade
The texturing on the factory backstrap always bothered me on Caniks so I gave this one a try, glad I did! The weight is just enough to help balance out what is otherwise an overly top-heavy pistol (Mete SFx) and the texturing is far nicer. Only two issues keep this from getting five stars. Apparently Canik has made some subtle differences in dimensions so this backstrap needed some Dremel work which was far easier said than done. I'd also love to see these offered in a matte or semi-gloss black to match the factory finish better. As is these come with a high gloss black which doesn't quite fit the rest of the gun. Still, a great upgrade which I will be keeping! TF has awesome customer support, thanks guys!

Brass back strap /black
Well machined, excellent fit and finish. I am more than satisfied with the product. Only one negative, it is easily scratched. I understand that brass is soft. I am wondering if there is a primer that can correct this issue, or a hardener clear coat - it could be offered as an upgrade.

This texture of this backstrap helps the with the grip on the handgun. Also, the added weight settles the gun.

Black aluminum backstrap for Mete STF Pro
I didn't like the way the original plastic backstrap felt, those plastic bumps didn't grip. Decided to try this aluminum one because I didn't want the weight of brass and hoo-boy does it feel great. It feels solid against my palm, has lots of grip, and fits without issue. I recommend this for anyone looking for a grip-ier, lighter metal backstrap for canik mete models.

Great Quality
