Product Description
The TF Heavyweight kit for the Canik TP9 SF/X series gives you everything you'll want for serious competition.
Kit includes:
3X Canik BRASS 140mm +4 basepad
1X Canik BRASS "backstrap" grip panel
1X Canik BRASS magwell
Taken together, this kit radically changes the center of balance and felt recoil behavior of the light-for-caliber Canik design. We think you'll find the gun feel more substantial, mellower in recoil, and much more "weight neutral" in the hand.
Weight: Variable

Quality is great and the parts fit perfectly. Noticed a big difference in the performance of my gun. I recommended TF products to many members of my gun club. As much as I am impressed with the product I am more impressed with the customer service,. THANK YOU RT!

Canik heavy weight kits tungsten
Fantastic Products making it look

Works well but pricy and not easy to install
Pros: Works well and looks nice. Cons: Expensive for brass castings send the set screw on the back strap was difficult to manipulate. I broke several Allen wrenches and had to use a micro-torch to defeat the factory applied Loctite. I then used a tap to chase the threads and applied my own medium Loctite. Then everything was great. Recommend they check the machining on the threads and leave the Loctite off At the factory. ----- Thanks for the feedback John, I'll pass that along! FYI: The parts are NOT castings -- they're CNC'ed out of billet. - RT

canik heavy weight brass kit
The product fit well and was easy to install. The cerokote has some blemishes on the mag extentions. Other then that, excellent product. Made the gun feel well in the hand.

Overall rating is good
The quality of workmanship is great, love the looks, the feel and the weight of the kit together. The downsides. While turning in the set screw on the backstrap to install the magwell on my sfx it got very tight almost to the point of stripping my Allen wrench, that was just to get the magwell on the gun, once I got it on there I fought with the set screw to back it out. I'm unsure of the tension between the backstrap and the magwell because the set screw turned out so hard that I had to use a rag so it didn't dig into my fingers. I'm an airplane mechanic and used to do machining on race engines so tools are very familiar to me. Once I got it set I shot about 2 mags through it and the magwell loosened up so I had to reset it again. Once again fighting it thinking something bad was gonna happen but it has not yet. I have not shot it since so I don't know if I was able to get it right enough or not. Also the cerakote on the inside of the magwell is starting to come off. I done some empty mag checks in and out about 10 times and brass is already starting to show through. I think tungsten would have been a better option for all and I also feel that the threads could have been cut better, also leaving the loctite off and letting the consumer put it on would have been a lot better idea. Just my opinions and comments. Your product is great otherwise and I will be buying again. Thank you -- Sorry to hear that Wayne! It's possible your Cerakote wasn't done properly. When you feel like it's time, call us and we'll re-do the coating for you. -- RT
