Product Description
Stabilize your Walther PPQ/PDP Compact!
Adding a metallic backstrap adds weight to the lower part of the frame. That weight counteracts the "top-heavy" feel of polymer autos, and calms perceived recoil. In our experience metal backstraps improve the "feel" of the gun -- especially when speed reloading. That might sound counter-intuitive, but a polymer gun with a metal backstrap rolls sideways slower and more predictably -- and doesn't feel like it's trying to fall out of your hand.
- CNC Machined from bar stock
- Works with TF magwells (possibly Walther ones as well)
- Works on the polymer frame Walther PPQ (full size) and the Walther PDP Compact - High-traction checkering stabilizes the gun in your hand
- Adds 2.5 ounces over stock in brass, .8 ounce in aluminum
- Fancy colors available!
Weight: 2.55 ounces
Material: Brass
Color: Black
NOTE: IDPA shooters should read their rules carefully. IDPA shooters will likely be able to use the aluminum variant only due to IDPA's past restrictions on "brass grips."
Warning: may contain metals known to the state of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. (Specifically lead.)

Nearly perfect
The fit and finish on this back strap is amazing. It really matches the original lines of the pistol and there aren’t any gaps or edges sticking out. Love that they have a black option so I didn’t have to send it off to get it Cerakote. The added weight makes the gun balance so much better in your hand. Especially if you run the 5” version like I do. Recoil control is also noticeable. My only complaint is that the checkering doesn’t go to the edge. The best thing about the PDP is the grip texture that just sticks to your hand. The lack of checking on the edges makes your support hand slip, compared to when running the factory back strap. I had to add some grip tape. Pleas make the checkering all the way to the side and top edges. -- Thanks for the feedback Al. The checkering placement is that way to let your hand slide into place on the draw, but lock into place once you grip the pistol. We'll look into that more going forward. -- RT

Excellent Quality
Superb fit. Additional weight is spot on, and grip texture feel great for my hand size.

PDP black brass backstrap
It fits tight, looks good, provides great grip, and adds weight to the gun. I wish it fit the finger scallops on the side of the grip better but that is being nit picky.

Walther PPQ Black Brass Backstrap
Fits very well on the 2 PPQs I tried it on - Nice coating on all surfaces in Black - The checkering is nice and the grip is good and about the same as the PPQ factory surfaces - 4 Stars because it is slightly larger on the sides than the factory frame and I wish the coating was a little more shiny as it is more flat than the factory finish

PPQ Brass grip panel
This piece is more subtle then I was expecting. It really does improve the balance and feel of the handgun IMO.

Walther PDP/PPQ back strap
This product balances the new PDP perfectly. I ordered mine in black, but brass color is also available. The Recoil is mitigated, and it does not effect the new grip texture much. This is a must have product.

Perfect
This brass back strap does a good job adding some weight to the frame to help counter weight the heavy slide. This makes recoil management a lot easier. Definitely a nice upgrade. This is my order time doing business with Taylorfreelance and plan to continue doing business with them
