The TF magwell for the PDP offers a sleek, cost-effective way to get the most out of your pistol. You can run this by itself for all the reasons listed above, or combine it with a TF metal backstrap. Few modifications NOTICEABLY change the way a gun feels/acts -- a brass backstrap with either an aluminum or brass magwell is one of those few.
We strongly suggest using extended basepads when using a magwell (any magwell). Extended pads let you push the mag in and KNOW that it's fully seated. Factory (flat) basepads will tend to disappear up inside the magwell's funnel, making them difficult to seat, and even harder to remove if the magazine gets stuck.

Walther PDP Full Size Black Brass Magwell
California has made it difficult to buy and receive gun parts. Taylor Freelance has solved the issue with their online purchasing procedure for California purchasers. I received my magwell and installed it immediately, perfect fit, easy to install. The quality of this magwell is superb, excellent machine work, and the black finish is outstanding. The magwell weighed 2 oz on my scale. It certainly helped balance out a top heavy polymer pistol, as most polymer pistols tend to be top heavy in my experience. I have large hands and used the factory large back strap as I believe the Taylor brass backstraps are sized like the Walther medium backstraps. I filled the cavities in the backstrap with tungsten beads and used rubberized superglue to secure the beads in place, this added 1.2 oz. I am beyond pleased with these upgrades. Well done Taylor Freelance.

Great Magwell
Works great, and the reload difference is actually amazing. I'm new to shooting and even I noticed a huge difference. I will say that it works fantastic with the PDP Pro 20 round magazines, because they have that little extra length. The 18 round magazines have to be pushed a little harder/more precise to get it to lock in. But it is so sweet with the 20 round mags...

Brass Magwell
I wanted to love this item. I was looking forward to the added weight and balance. Unfortunately, the magwell would not seat correctly to install the roll pin. I even took it to a friend of mine whose a gunsmith and get couldn't get it to work either. I've got the TF Brass Backstrap so this should work. As a result, I returned it this week.

PDP brass magwell
Magwell installed and worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend. Makes a huge difference in the balance especially when paired with the brass backstrap. Truly a game changer in feel and function!

Do not buy this brass magwell for the ppq
The brass magwell does not fit the PPQ. It does not sit properly on the pistol to allow the magazine to lock in and feed rounds I have tried to contact Taylor freelance and no replies to correct the situation. Instead they send me this review. It has been 24 hours and no response to replace or refund my purchase. Not even a phone number to discuss correction or options. NOTE: Phone number is on website under "contacts" We respond to all emails and phone calls. It can sometimes take more than 24 hours especially since we don't work weekends. Weekends are for shooting!

PDP Full Size Magwell - Brass
I use these magwells with brass backstraps and baseplates on all my PDPs. They combine beautifully together to create a balanced and robust shooting experience. Highly recommended.

Amazing part
I purchased this for my Walther PDP Pro SD and it's a significant upgrade over the stock PDP magwell. The mouth is significantly larger front to rear and it adds a nice amount of weight also. This part even fits the gun better than the stock PDP Pro magwell.

Walther PDP Full-Size Magwell (Hook Type)
This was easy to install and fit perfectly. The added weight definitely helps with the PDP's 'Snappy' muzzle climb.
