Product Description
Push your mag capacity to the MAX with the Taylor Freelance +1 extension.
- Maximum capacity, yet legal for USPSA shooting. (Fits the USPSA gauge!)
- Optimal fit and angle when used with standard mags
- Easy assembly/disassembly Rock Island Armory offers purpose-built 140mm and 170mm basepads for USPSA shooting.
This base pad adds a little extra internal volume, and squares up the design for positive reloading. The same design works great on the standard-length mags as well (when used on a Rock Island pistol with the factory magwell). Instead of the one-piece polymer basepad that puts the basepad at a sharp angle relative to your palm, our +1 squares up the magazine, so when you seat the mag, the basepad doesn't try to squirt out of your hand. Better still, the basepad protrudes enough to let you rip the magazine clear in case of malfunction.
NOTE: Some Mec-Gar-marked magazines have a large, deep notch at the bottom-front of the mag tube (take the basepad off to check). If you have a Mec-Gar marked mag with a deep notch, this basepad won't work for you. If the tube is NOT marked Mec-Gar and has a shallow notch (like RIA factory mags with the one-piece hollow basepad), it will work great. (Thanks to customer Sebastien Richard for helping figure this out!)
NOTE : Rock Island recently changed the profile of the magwell. If you find your +1s won't fit, call us back and we'll exchange your +1s against a set of +4s!

Works great on para and remington magazines
I love these for my Para and Remington magazines. They are amazing, but for my 15 round RIA magazine the screw hits the magazine well. -- RESPONSE -- Hey Michael, RIA changed the magwell pattern right before that product was launched. It's nobody's fault, RIA and TF just weren't communicating well. Works great on the older pattern magwell.
