Cut from brass bar stock, this is the heavyweight version of a part we developed at the request of the Border Patrol Tactical Operations Group (BORTAC).
This particular model weighs more than THREE OUNCES, reducing felt recoil. All our 140mm basepads for the HKP30/30L and VP9 have features not found on our basepads intended for competition: Anti-vibration locking screws, and a high-security locking plate without the ususal "quick-release" cut.
- Extra strong, extra thin (to fit the HK P30/VP frame) The basepad adds 5 rounds to the HKP30/VP .40 S&W and 9mm magazine
- A tremendous improvement over the factory-standard 13 or 15 rounds. It also works on the HKP2000 and P2000SK where it provides 4 additional rounds.
- Competition Value: While working on this project, we were contacted by 3-Gunners who also shoot the HK. Happily, the design works for them as well. Northwest 3-Gunners TJ Lurvey and Tavis Miller participated in the R+D. For them, going to 18 or 20 rounds total makes the weapon vastly more competitive on the 3-Gun circuit in ways it just wasn't before.
CUSTOM SPRING INCLUDED: The "Border Special" ships with a custom 140mm spring. (Using the standard spring, the slide will not lock back consistently.)

HK Brass Grip Panels
Outstanding fit and finish. Little tough to get out together. But that's only because of tigh tolerances. DEFINITELY going to buy more.

Border Special Basepad
Let me jsut start by saying that these being designed for Bortac is just super cool. HK magazines rocket out of pistols already but with these basepads on they fly out just that much faster. Easy to install, great weight, looks great, and locks back everytime. I haven't had any malfunctions thus far after a couple hundred rounds. If you are on the fence about these just take the jump and get one!

Makes the gun steadier and balanced
The gun now has very little recoil. The extra weight allows me to steady the gun more easily. Great product!
