Get a "Death Grip" on that gun!
It all started when Nils Jonasson (pro shooter for Canik) asked us to increase the amount of checkering on his TF backstrap. He likes to maintain a "death grip" on his pistol, and checkering helps lock the gun in his hand. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
TF's "Death Grip" has checkering spanning the entire gripping surface. Compared to competing models, the Death Grip has more checkering in contact with your hand plus a high level of weight, thus more of the control-enhancing features you want! Weight and felt recoil are directly related.
By adding weight a lightweight gun calms down, creating a smoother-shooting, slower-kicking, more-neutrally-balanced handgun. Brass is best in most situations, but if you're carrying the gun around all day, you might want aluminum instead.
- Machined from bar stock H02 Brass or 6061 aluminum
- Ridiculous volumes of high-traction checkering CUT into each piece (not cast) for maximum "grip" and control
- Built-in mount point for factory and TF magwells (typical "tailhook" style)
- Lowers the center of gravity (better balance, calmer handling, less top-heavy)

UPDATE
Does NOT chew undershirts. Two months of daily carry with this in place and I can say it's the best thing you can do for your VP9. Now we need to get TF to make similar side plates... ;)

Amazing Feel!
Boy, what a difference this makes in the grip feel of the gun! I was not expecting this to grip the palm so well, as visually it almost looks like it would be a bit smoother than even the factory HK piece. But it grips incredibly well, feeling almost sticky even, but without any sort of the overly raspy blood-letting feel you might have experienced from aggressive stippling jobs in the past. TF perfectly replicated the contours and shape of this piece, and it flows perfectly into the rest of the grip. I wear a large glove size (can sometimes squeeze tight into a medium) and I would say this sits between a medium and large size backstrap if comparing to the HK options that come with the gun. It feels about perfect in that department. I would love one of these for my VP9Sk. A set of side panels would certainly be awesome too! :D

Aluminum HK VP9 DEATH GRIP BACKSTRAP - ALUMINUM - BLACK
Transformative change to the VP9 compared to the OEM polymer backstrap. Perfect fit, excellent checkering for a carry application. I have the brass version on my competition VP9L’s and this is just as grippy. Time will tell if it chews undershirts but the positive grip is well worth it.
