The Carver fits a niche between the smallish SSS "ESP" model and the full-on SSS "Limited" -- which offers a very large funnel indeed. Carver M&P Magwell would not fit. O the three different Magwells purchased only one fits. They are well made but if they do not fit what good are they. I won't be buying anymore of these Magwells from Carver. They are NFG.

Magwell
Relief cut in the magwell for a standard m&p mag base actually is an impediment to smooth mag reloading. In reality, the standard base magazines would not seat through this mag well into fully attached position. Other aftermarket bases did work properly.

It does have a flat spot inside to facilitate factory mags, but it does not affect the overall function of the mag well. It’s a good compromise if you have factory mags that you don’t want to add extensions to .

Great magwell for my S&W M&P 9mm
Purchased this magwell for my S&W M&P 9mm 1.0. Works perfectly with S&W M&P 140MM Brass Baseplate. Just be known that it does not work with the stock baseplate. I upgraded all of my baseplates to TF baseplates and it works GREAT. It added some weight between the magwell and the 140mm brass baseplate ut combined with an Agency Arms 118 Compensator, felt recoil is almost gone. Once again, thanks for a great product and customer service.

Carver custom magwell
The quality of this product is great. And the way it attaches to the gun is easy and secure. My only complaint is the magwell isn’t a complete taper , it has a flat inside of it which sort of defeats the purpose of the Magwell. I have used others that don’t have the flat and work better. --------- Hey Jared, that sounds like the "tactical" model -- which is designed to work with stock magazines. If you want a smoother entry, the Carver "Open" magwells do that -- but the downside is you have to use aftermarket basepads. -- Robin Taylor
