- Extended backstrap rounds off the grip for comfort, and adds a mag guide for faster, more-positive reloads (and less tendency to pinch your flesh between the mag and the frame!)
- Plus 4 basepad gives you a huge capacity boost -- and a longer grip
- Plus 0 basepad gives you a "pinky hook" effect, a longer grip, and adds a small amount of weight/better shape for easier reloading Converting to all-metal accessories adds weight, moving the balance point down and slowing the recoil of the gun.
If you don't mind the weight, go with brass. If you want your carry gun light -- go with aluminum. The aluminum parts add a couple of ounces, the brass just over six!
Do I Need A New Mag Spring?
Canik has made some changes recently to the way they make magazines, and to the springs they supply with them. You SHOULDN'T need an additional spring for the +4, but please do some test-firing to make sure! If you do need a spring, give us a call. We have a couple of options for a spring upgrade.
