MAXIMUM FIREPOWER!
Our updated 170mm floorplate offers up to +12. We optimized for 9mm in this revision, giving 9mm "Open gun" drivers a chance to load TWENTY NINE and one in most cases. We've also re-profiled the interior to better accommodate the new "chisel-point" followers.
This 170mm "+8" was our first mag extension, built for USPSA's "Open Division" in the 1990s. ("Open" is the firearm equivalent of top-fuel drag racing.) This latest version provides as much as +12 rounds of 9mm, depending on the particulars of your magazine/follower combination.
Got a .40? We recommend our new .40-specific 170mm basepad. The 9mm version will work with the .40, but is finicky about bullet profile. Small changes make a big difference! Ships with a custom-made Wolff spring.

Note: Thanks to the hardware on the back, this basepad does not fit the USPSA gauge in the usual way. Luckily, appendix (E1) reads ". . .If a base pad does not conform to the configuration of the gauge, a ruler may be used to measure the overall length as pictured above."

Base Pads
Extra ammo with the right spring and a little fine-tuning gets you some awesome magazines with super-cool base pads! Easy to install and tune if you're handy with a file or dremel tool. Just a few light touches and they'll run flawlessly!

Fit and finish very nice. Only reason for 4 stars, you have to do some filing of the follower for it to get passed the lip on the inside of the mag to extension meeting. Other than that very nice. ----------- Hey Guy, That's a common problem. We'd rather you have any problems you're going to have putting the ammo IN, rather than having problems getting the ammo OUT. -- Robin Taylor

Installed it and it only added 2 rounds. On a 33 round mag when it’s states + 12 ------------- Hey Scott, printed on the back of the packaging you'll see instructions on how to fix this issue. A swipe of a file on the bottom corners of the follower is usually enough -- you'll find a detailed version of how to fix this in our youtube video support.
